Full Job Description

  • Responsible for order placement timing, supply/demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.

  • Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance to ensure they adhere to the delivery requirements.

  • Working in conjunction with the Factory and senior management team to ensure chocolate suppliers are within contract and supply is continuous.

  • Working closely with the planning department ensuring we are running lean with product available on time and in full for all channels.

  • Sourcing the most affordable materials for the company's manufacturing process and administration through price comparisons between suppliers.

  • Using Sage correctly and fully to ensure the data that all departments require is kept up to date.

  • Regular reviews and analysis of data to ensure stock levels are maintained and adjusted as required.

  • Responsible for chasing suppliers to ensure they deliver the purchasing as per the agreement.

  • Responsible ensuring the purchasing budget is kept to an acceptable level, as outlined by the senior management team.

  • Responsible for ensuring we have a second-choice supplier for all critical raw materials and packaging.

  • Responsible for managing the supplier matrix including supplier documentation ensuring we are audit ready at all times.

  • Target on cost savings based on negotiations and relationship building with the suppliers.

  • Managing the supplier relationships for the company, ensuring supplier meetings are arranged as and when applicable including top 5 suppliers.

  • Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices.

  • Responsible for resolving any disputes with suppliers, queries on delivery notes and invoice - in a timely manner to ensure it does not affect other departments.

  • Ensure external compliance is maintained.

  • Working alongside operation seniors on continuous improvement.

  • Work alongside NPD with procurement related tasks.

  • Responsible for ensuring procurement KPI's are completed on time and in full achieving targets set by the senior management team.

  • Responsible for taking over procurement for the Bristows site (based in Devon).
