Senior Data Architect

As a Senior Data Architect/Strategist at Zenergi, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our operational and strategic data needs. You will be responsible for developing a robust data architecture capable of integrating multiple data sources and allowing scalable and precise data and analytics. Your role will involve the technical aspects of data engineering and the strategic aspects of business intelligence and data governance.
You will take charge of improving how we collect, process, store and analyse data. It will be your responsibility to ensure our data architecture and strategies allow efficient and accurate data processing and accurate analytics. You will work closely with various stakeholders within the business and IT, aligning our data strategy with our business goals and tech strategy.
Your role will include providing strategic guidance on the most effective use of our data. This will require you to work cross-functionally, bridging the needs and demands of our Finance, IT, and wider business areas. You will also be a mentor to our data team, sharing expertise on best practices and new technologies and helping guide their actions toward fulfilling our data strategy.
Working closely with the Head of Data, you will also contribute to building and implementing Zenergi's data strategy and maintaining data integrity. • Developing and implementing a robust data architecture.


• Building and executing a strategic plan for data management that aligns with our business objectives.


• Define data quality standards to ensure data consistency and accuracy.


• Reviewing and improving our data collection, processing, storing, and analysis methodology for improved efficiency.


• Collaborating with various stakeholders across IT and the business to align our data strategy.


• Coaching the data team, imparting knowledge on best practices and new technologies.


• Assisting the finance team with their data needs to ensure smooth operations.


• Managing the data for our CRM system HubSpot (and other Zenergi 3rd party systems).


• Working with the development team to ensure any system additions /changes are aligned to our data strategy and adhere to our data quality standards, and advising them on best practices.


• Ensuring data integrity across our core systems and suggesting solutions to prevent data discrepancies.


• Offering strategic guidance across the Zenergi business on the effective use of our data, working cross-functionally to meet demands.


• Work collaboratively with the Head of Data to establish Zenergi's data quality standards and data management principles and to design and implement Zenergi's data strategy, Here at Zenergi, we like to reward our team in numerous ways to show our appreciation for their hard work. • Proficiency in Azure ecosystem including Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure DevOps.


• Advanced SQL and database design skills (MS SQL).


• Proficient in Azure Data Factory for orchestration and ETL processes.


• Strong understanding of data modelling, data structures and algorithms.


• Excellent strategic planning and project management skills.


• Strong understanding of data governance, data harmonisation, data standardisation and data management practices.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor and guide are desirable.


Knowledge

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Certifications in Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud platforms.


• Knowledge of BI and reporting tools such as PowerBI.


• Comprehensive understanding of data warehouse architecture, concepts, and best practices.


• Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, processing and warehousing techniques., Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or in a similar senior-level role within data.


• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.


• Experience in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modelling)


• Previous experience in integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system.


• Experience in data transformation, data governance and data management.


• Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, IT, and wider business teams.
