Full Job Description

This advanced fellowship in upper limb surgery will focus on elective and traumatic conditions of the shoulder and elbow. This is suitable for surgeons from the UK and elsewhere who are close to completion, or have completed their orthopaedic training and wish to pursue a career in shoulder and elbow surgery.
Dedicated time will be allocated to departmental research, including the current RCT investigating rehabilitation following shoulder surgery.
The post-holder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician., COVID-19 vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients from the virus when working in our healthcare settings. Whilst COVID-19 vaccination is not currently a condition of employment, we do encourage our staff to get vaccinated. The post-holder should be able to demonstrate a subspecialty interest and experience in shoulder & elbow surgery. Applicants should have full GMC registration, completed the FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent and ideally have CCT or CESR in trauma and orthopaedics. The post has an on-call commitment.
There will be ample research and publication opportunities, with active involvement in the trials that are running within the upper limb department.
