You will be part of a close-knit collaborative team who pride themselves in providing the highest standard of care to our patients and their families. Our inpatients team are comprised of experienced nurses, nursing associates and healthcare assistants supported by our welcoming Ward Manager.

What you'll be doing

We are a 30 bedded elective orthopaedic ward. As well as undertaking basic ward duties you will act as clinical lead by coordinating the shift, providing clear and consistent communication to the multidisciplinary team, achieving high morale based on sound organisation. As a shift lead/senior registered nurse you will assist in the management of the ward and be able to undertake duties such audits, rota management and undertake datix investigations. You will be able coach new starters and students and help deliver in house training if required.

You will liaise with the wider Practice Plus Group medical team to ensure the patient's treatment is carried out whilst maintaining the principles of patient confidentiality.

Your sound clinical and Infection control knowledge combined with your ability to solve problems and think both literally and laterally will enable you to teach and train others in your team
