Full Job Description

Working as the Senior Test & Validation Engineer within the global Business Development function, you will spearhead and manage Test and Validation programmes in support of New Product Development, Solutions and Research groups within the division.

Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…

  • Ensuring planning, delivery and clear status reporting of all assigned development test programme activities and meet agreed time, quality and cost

  • Providing technical direction and project management for thee development and build of new test rigs and equipment, including the management of capital investments

  • Inputting and creating appropriate processes and procedures to enable the testing of new and existing products to externally recognised standards

  • Ownership of all elements of assigned product testing and validation for research, new product development, in-service investigations, root-cause analysis, field-trial campaigns and competitor evaluations

  • Creating proposals and plans to improve capabilities and remove process bottlenecks to improve technical capabilities and departmental efficiency

    Your previous experience is likely to include….

  • Working within engineering project delivery

  • Collaborating with multi-functional engineering teams

  • Working within test programmes preparation, execution and reporting

  • Understanding of Controls and DAQ systems


  • To be successful in this role you will…
  • Possess practical knowledge of design principles of electro-mechanical test rigs and setups

  • Be knowledgeable in manual and automated test systems and will be able to implement appropriate and economic test validation methods to externally recognised standards

  • Show a good understanding of the application of control, instrumentation and data acquisition systems

  • Show practical knowledge of analytical tools and good data analysis skills

  • Manage multiple technical projects and functional demands simultaneously
