Full Job Description

Goslyn International Ltd, a market leading supplier of specialist grease and oil capture systems and products to the catering industry nationwide, has an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator working in our factory in Wigan.

Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the role will ideally suit someone who has scheduling experience and is able to manage a small team of engineers and is looking to join a growing business with potential for further development.

Working in our Service Department, you will provide support to a dedicated and busy service team who undertake installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs to our customers equipment.

This role requires applicants to be able to handle a varied workload with efficiency and accuracy, both over the phone and via e-mail. You must be highly organised and be able to work in a busy environment.,

  • Scheduling service calls, creating the work ticket, liaising with the customer, arranging attendance of our inhouse and sub-contract personnel, maintaining updates on progress by service engineers and ensuring all paperwork and invoicing is completed correctly. Our scheduling software is "TeamPoint"

  • Work closely with the service engineers and colleagues to ensure efficient delivery of our services

  • Maintain stock levels for engineers vans and regional satellite storage facilities

  • Day to day administration for the service department

  • Maintaining information on the company's customer relationship database

  • Generating delivery notes and invoices for service work undertaken

  • First point of contact for customers wanting to arrange a service, repair or asking for a progress update

  • Assisting customers with a variety of questions relating to products and orders

    Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work collaboratively with engineers in the field

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Good Geographical knowledge of the UK

  • Process driven, with an eye for detail and good numerical ability

  • Able to prioritise work, be flexible and deal with change of plans in a calm manner

  • Excellent IT skills - you must be confident using MS Office applications and happy to learn new systems.


  • THE PERSON

    You must have previous experience in a similar service department/administration/customer service role, the ability to schedule work efficiently and a good knowledge of national geography to assist in route planning for the service and installation engineers .

    It is essential that you have excellent IT skills, including MS Office applications, Word, Excel and that you can manage remote meetings on Teams.

    You must have the capacity to work with colleagues at all levels, as part of a team and on your own initiative whilst maintaining a team approach.
