My well-established client is currently seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join their team.

As a fabricator, you will be required to work on multiple projects simultaneously and complete them in line with set deadlines.

You will be able to fabricate parts from aluminium using various machinery including press brakes, guillotines and punching machines.

This role is commutable from Earls Barton, Rushden, Wellingborough, Wollaston etc

The Role of Sheet Metal Fabricator:

- Operating and setting 2x 4 meter brake presses (Edward Pearson)
- Operating 2x 4 meter guillotines.
- Operating punching machines.
- Working with aluminium and occasionally pre-galvanised steel 1.2mm - 6mm.
- Working from 2D engineering drawings and assessing what materials are required.
- Working on multiple projects at a time with support from the wider team.
- Completing jobs to a pre-agreed deadline.

Minimum of 1 year experience in operating and setting a press brake.
- Previous experience of operating a guillotine or willing to learn.
- Ability to read and work from 2D engineering drawings.
- FLT licence (Desirable).
- TIG Welding experience (Desirable).

Salary £13 - £17 per hour depending on experience.
- Day shifts Monday-Friday: working hours are 08:30 - 16:30.
- 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
- 1-week shutdown over Christmas.
- 30-minute lunch break and 15-minute tea breaks.
- Training and development - onboarding will consist of a personalised training plan for your needs.
