Full Job Description

The post holder will ensure the children and families we work with maximise their potential and achieve the best possible outcomes available to them through providing timely, high-quality assessments, ensuring that children and families who experience our service receive a quality service, ensuring planning results in timely, permanent care arrangements, working with people in a way that respects and acknowledges difference, and empowering people to make informed choices. The post holder will receive a substantial package of support and development opportunities.

You will have a Diploma or Degree in social work and be registered with Social Work England, with experience as a Main Grade or Senior Grade Social Worker. You have a good working knowledge of theory and legislation including the Children Act 89/04 and others. You are people-focused, an excellent communicator with accurate spoken and written English, and have excellent analytical and critical thinking skills. You enjoy a busy atmosphere, have the integrity and motivation to achieve good outcomes for children, and understand anti-oppressive practice. You are talented, curious, and are keen to develop your professional career and champion best practice.
