Full Job Description

This is a 9-month Fixed term contract

As part of the IT Commercial Team, the Software License Administrator will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Southern Housing's Software Asset Management capability.

Southern Housing has recently implemented the Software Asset Management system from Snow Software. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the commercial license information is entered in the system and maintained with a view to ensuring Software License compliance across the company.

The role is hybrid with a working pattern of 2 days on site and 3 days from home.

What you'll be doing

  • Generating and analysing license compliance reports,

  • Reporting and research license compliance anomalies,

  • Working with the IT Commercial Team and key IT leaders to resolve compliance issues,

  • Assist with the recovery or reduction of unused licenses,

  • Assist with procuring new licenses if required

  • Support service desk team, members of staff in other departments, with requests new or additional software licenses

    Understanding of Technology in particular Software Licensing models

  • Knowledge of Standard Business Functions familiarity with working in a Software Asset Management Function a plus

  • Experience working with key business support systems

  • Microsoft 365 skills including office, Teams and SharePoint applications

  • To work independently and take initiative, while collaborating effectively within a team environment

  • Experience with using a Software Asset Management platform (familiarity with the Snow License Manager a plus)
