Spray Finisher Assistant / Prep Hand

Aspects of this varied role include the preparation of modern and traditional furniture, projects in association with joiners and furniture makers in our workshop and larger company projects., Prepare various furniture materials such as veneers / hardwood / MDF for spray finishing

De-nibbing / fine sanding joinery products between spray coats

Filling / sanding

Spray finishing some products once trained

Staining products

Hand priming / painting as required

Responsible for house-keeping

We are looking for an energetic, motivated person who is willing to work alongside experienced French Polishers and Spray Finishers. Situated near to Chelmsford, Essex with a vacancy based in our workshop.,

• High level of stamina with excellent attention to detail.


• Ability to multi-task various projects and meet deadlines.


• Demonstrate a desire for self-improvement and enthusiasm to learn new skills.


• Sound knowledge of H&S requirements associated with the role and workplace.


• Good written and spoken English


• Punctual and Reliable


Due to our workshop location with limited public transport the candidate will need to have access to their own transport.,
• Chelmsford, CM3 8EB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)


Education:

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• preparation or spraying: 2 years (preferred)
