Full Job Description

The SVN role is one of the foundations of an outstanding veterinary practice, and as a SVN you would be involved in supporting our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to our patients, working alongside a lovely team of people. This role will involve animal handling, assisting vets and nurses in restraining animals for treatment, cleaning, walking and feeding patients, general cleaning and maintenance duties, answering phone calls, reception cover, greeting clients and providing the highest standards of animal and customer care.,

  • An animal nursing assistant (ANA) or veterinary care assistant (VCA) qualification, along with functional skills level two in application of number and communication.


  • The salary for this position will be in line with National Minimum Wage.

    We are looking for someone who really cares about animals. Our ideal candidate will have had some experience with animals before, have excellent interpersonal skills and be a real team player.

    Experience and Qualifications needed:

    Our ideal applicant will be reliable with a willingness to learn and to be able to work within a team. Previous experience in a veterinary environment is essential.
  • Five GCSEs at grade C and above (or equivalent), which must include English language, Maths and a Science subject.

    Salary will be in line with the National Minimum Wage
