Our Colleague Experience team is looking for a Talent Development Manager to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the Role

As the Talent Development Manager, you will lead a small team of Talent Development Advisors, and have full ownership of the talent review process for Harrods colleagues - from the building, testing and deployment of the process. You will be a data-driven person, able to support the configuration of talent in Workday, create effective communications and manage the scheduling and deployment of the annual talent review process. You will combine insights from talent measurement & listening initiatives to understand how and when to gain insight, advise and make decisions.

You will also:

Determine the focus for formal and informal talent development structures needed to grow our own talent.
Design and build next-role talent development programmes to enable colleagues to progress between and across levels in the business.
Lead on apprenticeship & early career strategies, including leading on the government relationship and legalities for circa 100 apprentices within Harrods.
Engage with stakeholders across the business to support the design of end-to-end development plans, ensuring maximum engagement and tangible results for the function.
Coach and support high potential talent.
Support in role development for a variety of people management populations.
Partner with the rest of the learning team to embed manager and leader expectations throughout colleague lifecycle e.g., onboarding, assessment, development, exit.
Deliver management interventions and programmes filtered down from leadership strategy.

You will have experience in leading talent management initiatives for a diverse & fast paced business. You will have led apprenticeships/other early career programmes and have managed a small team. You will be a nurture, keen to effectively drive the performance of your team forward.

You will be an excellent communicator, able to build relationships with senior stakeholders from various business areas; with this the ability to challenge on talent decisions and always link decisions to the broader company strategy.
