About the schools:

This permanent role is available for a September 2024 start.

A really exciting opportunity has arisen in our languages department as we are recruiting for September 2024 a Head of Department or Lead Practitioner in Spanish. As a lead school in Gianfranco Conti's EPI approach to language teaching we are looking for the right candidate to continue to embed this innovative approach. Spanish is the most popular subject in this year's option choices, the Principal is an MFL specialist, as is one of the Assistant Vice Principals. Come and work with us at this exciting time, where you know MFL is valued.

We know that helping shape students' lives and turning aspirations to reality have rewards that include, but transcend academic excellence. At all Ortu Schools, children and young people experience a stimulating, challenging and supportive learning journey through their primary, secondary and post-secondary years. Staff and parents work hard together to create a caring and mutually respectful ethos to prepare students well for the demands of the 21st Century. Our highly personalised curriculum; exceptional extra-curricular opportunities; student leadership culture, and sound attainment make Ortu schools very exciting places in which to learn, work and play. High quality teaching and pastoral care combine to make Ortu schools a truly unique experience. Our staff are committed and determined to uphold and promote the long established high standards, which have ensured that our students progress confidently to college, university and employment, with the knowledge, skills and attributes they
need to lead successful, positive and productive lives.

Here is why you should work at Ortu Hassenbrook:

We are hardworking and are fully committed to our improvement journey. Staff development is an entitlement. We offer a range of high quality CPD both in house and through the Trust. Other benefits for all staff include a cycle to work and childcare voucher schemes, anonymous buddies, transparent progressions managements. A full coaching and training programme will be provided for staff along with a complementary Health and Wellbeing benefits package.

Ortu Hassenbrook Academy is a warm, welcoming place to work. Relationships throughout the school are positive. Of course, we know that you enjoy working with young people and want to make a difference to their lives.

We could say a lot more but we think that the best way for you to get a feel for what it would be like to work at Ortu Hassenbrook Academy is to pay us a visit. Alison Harrold, PA to the Principal, would be happy to arrange for you to speak with the Principal, students and staff. Do give her a call on .

If you have the drive to lead and transform learning for our wonderful students, we want to hear from you.
