Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit a talented and enthusiastic person to join our highly successful and inclusive Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will be a committed, inspirational and dynamic individual with a passion for teaching RS. This post could be combined with teaching A level History/Ancient History.

RS is part of our Faculty for Travel, Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages. The college offers a wide range of courses in this area including: A levels in RS, History, Ancient History, Geography, Environmental Science, Politics, French and Spanish and CACHE Level 3 and Level 2 Travel and Tourism. The faculty has dedicated teaching spaces and excellent employer connections to support curriculum design and delivery. The faculty regularly offers trips abroad relevant to the curriculum.

Itchen College is a thriving Sixth Form College with a broad curriculum offer to meet the needs of the local community. The college is situated in pleasant surroundings to the east of Southampton with excellent local transport links. Ofsted inspected the college in December 2021, grading overall provision as Good with Outstanding Quality of Education, Outstanding Education Programmes for Young People and Outstanding Provision for Learners with High Needs.

The college is committed to supporting staff wellbeing and professional development. The college has an excellent in house CPD programme for all teaching and support staff including a dedicated programme for Early Career Teachers.
