Full Job Description
- Complete planned works and maintenance on the full range of systems and networks within the operating environment
- Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards policies and procedures
- Contribute to the delivery of projects through the provision of technical advice, installation, end to end testing and commissioning support and service transition
- Implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks
- Maintain accurate records, documents and reporting of actions taken
- Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, industry and customer requirements
Working knowledge of the development, testing and maintenance of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application depending on technical area of expertise - Experience with processes, standards and engineering practices related to monitoring and controlling (M&C)
- Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles
- Experience of maintenance and fault resolution on complex media systems; supports root cause analysis to resolve complex or recurring problems
- Specialises in one or more areas of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.;
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the techniques and applications of computer network systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures
- Able to conduct complex measurements
