Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to welcome a new member to our growing team. This position will offer full in-house training in all aspects of Waterproofing and Damp Proofing for you to become a Basement and New Build Waterproofing Technician. The Guardian Waterproofing head office is located in Cheltenham, but our work can take us up to 90 minutes travel time from Cheltenham (paid travel time).

For candidates interested in gaining a qualification, there is also the option to progress and develop their skill set by enrolling on a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Sub-Structure Work Occupations (Structural Waterproofing)) training programme in partnership with the Property Care Association (PCA). Designed for new entrants into the structural waterproofing industry, this course aims to develop and expand the knowledge of its trainees in specialist techniques of structural waterproofing.

The successful candidate must have a clean UK driving license and at least some experience in either the construction industry or be practically minded.

The role would include:

· Structural waterproofing and damp proofing

· Applying external waterproofing membranes

· Spray applying liquid waterproofing membranes

· Installing cavity drain membrane systems

· Installing bespoke pumping stations

· Ensuring health and safety regulations are always complied with

· Ensuring clients premises are left secure, clean and tidy at the end of each working day

· Assist with various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

· A clean UK driving licence (required)

· CSCS card can be applied for upon joining the company

Applicants will be required to:

· Be self-sufficient

· Be a team player

· Drive a company van

· Good communicator with team mates and clients

· Able to plan own work

· Enthusiastic, motivated with a positive attitude

· Honest, reliable and punctual

· Clean and tidy in appearance

· Willing to undertake ongoing training

· Able to travel and work away from home when necessary
