Full Job Description

We are looking for a Treasury Risk Analyst to join our Service Centre Finance team to provide Treasury Risk and regulatory services for our Schroders Wealth Management entities worldwide.

The Service Centre regulatory team manages the provisioning of Treasury risk data and regulatory services for our Wealth Management subsidiaries. The role reports dotted line into the Head Reg Reporting (Zurich) and locally into the Head of Service Centre Accounting. You will be part of a team of four, managing the Treasury Risk function for four of our Wealth management subsidiaries. This role is part of the newly established Wealth Management Service Centre Horsham, which is taking on the responsibilities currently performed in our Switzerland based Service Centre.

You will be the Wealth Management Treasury Risk subject matter expert, analysing different sources of market and liquidity risk using state of the art tools and reviewing compliance with risk limits. You will support the four wealth management treasury functions with risk analyses and updates on regulatory developments and produce interest and liquidity regulatory returns for specific entities.

As a Treasury Risk Analyst, you will be experienced and able to handle complex issues, independently carry out tasks, as well as challenging current processes to ensure continuous development and improvements.

The base

You'll be based at Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. That's home to our operational teams, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

What you'll do

  • Production of the daily market risk reports for the Schroders' banks

  • Production of the daily counterparty risk reports for the Schroders' banks

  • Maintain / update the setup of FIS Balance Sheet Manager

  • Specific analyses in the area of Market & Liquidity risks. Market risk analyses cover mainly interest rate risks. Liquidity risks analysis cover the LCR, as well as other Liquidity metrics like short-term Cash-Flows or available collaterals

  • Production / maintenance on behalf of a Switzerland based bank of certain regulatory returns to the SNB (Liquidity Monitoring Tools, Interest Rate Risk Reporting, Liquidity Coverage Ratio)

  • Production / maintenance of the Singapore based bank's LCR return

  • Prepare documents for Management committees and for senior management

  • Ensure SLA KPIs and Group reporting deadlines are met;

  • Supporting the business with ad-hoc requests;

  • Participation in projects as they arise;

  • Act as back-up to other team members

  • Produce and maintain standardised procedure documentation.

    A minimum of 2 years' experience in Treasury, Market Risk, or Asset and Liability Management.

  • Proficient understanding of frameworks for managing market and liquidity risk, backed by strong analytical capabilities.

  • Familiarity with market data provider software such as Refinitiv.

  • Prior experience with market risk management tools, preferably FIS Balance Sheet Manager.

  • A proactive, self-driven individual with a knack for problem-solving and effective communication.

  • Proficiency and experience in using MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Efficient time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

  • Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Management Studio for SQL-based information querying would be a plus.

  • Previous experience in the Financial Services sector would be beneficial.
