Exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse operative to start immediately and work closely with the team headed up by the head of warehouse.

Cableduct is an award-winning manufacturer of standard and bespoke cable management systems, specialising in high quality floor boxes installed in high end residential (Buckingham Palace), retail (Harrods, Burberry) hospitality (Peninsula Hotel) and office spaces (80 Charlotte St Fitzrovia W1) in the UK and worldwide. Our customers, our brand and our quality are at the heart of everything we do.

We are a family business and manufacture our products at our factory in Croydon and have a warehouse serving the factory. This is a small, entrepreneurial business in which you will have to think on your feet. Therefore, someone who enjoys a busy day, is happy to "muck in" with whatever will help keep the business moving forward will do well. The role is based in our factory near Croydon and applicants must live locally, ideally within a 30-45 minute commute.

This role reports to the factory manager and main duties include:

  • Follow health & safety guidelines and keep yourself, colleagues and visitors safe at all times

  • Goods in: Receive deliveries, complete receipt paperwork, conduct quality checks, put into stock locations

  • Goods out: review delivery notes, pick parts, pack goods ready for dispatch, ensure all deliveries are complete and delivered in full

  • Load and unload vehicles using forklift

  • Work with manufacturing team and the order coordinator to prepare product orders ready for dispatch

  • Organise and manage stock in warehouse and factory

  • Manage paperwork for receiving and dispatching goods

  • Liaise with couriers

  • Support in factory and warehouse as active and enthusiastic team member

  • Able to organise your time and workload and communicate and work with team members, suppliers and customers

    This person will have experience of working in the warehouse of a manufacturing company and will be ambitious to develop themselves and help the company grow. This role is a replacement role and we are committed to training and developing people with the right attitude and who are real team players.


  • You will need a forklift licence and ideally you will have experience of using warehouse computer systems and knowledge of the latest warehouse management techniques and systems.,
  • Warehouse: 2 years (required)

    Salary: c.£11.44 per hour starting salary, depending on experience

  • Bonus schemes

  • - Monthly bonus of 10% of salary if company hits sales revenue target (we hit target every month last financial year)

  • - Quarterly bonus based on share of profits made by the company (paid every quarter depending on profit achieved)

  • 25 days holiday plus public holidays

  • Statutory pension

  • Working hours: 39 hours per week.

  • Monday to Thursday: 8am-4.30; Friday 8am-3.30pm

  • No weekends

  • Breaks during the day:

  • - 30 minute break for lunch at 13.00 - unpaid

  • - 10 minute break at 10am - paid

  • There is no parking at the factory
