Full Job Description
Main Purpose of Job.
To ensure all CTS Hire Fleet Vehicles are thoroughly washed externally and valeted internally prior to delivery and following collection. To assist with vehicle movements supporting the workshop. To keep the yard area in a clean, tidy and safe area at all times.
Key Duties
Yard duties
- To carry out pre maintenance cleaning duties on ALL CTS hire fleet vehicles, ensuring the vehicles are cleaned and valeted to the highest of standards
- Carry out pre-delivery quality checks on the fleet vehicles, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and the cabs are clean and well presented for the customers.
- Carry out vital housekeeping in and around the yard area, ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist with keeping the welfare facilities in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
- Carry out deliveries & collection of staff/ vehicles to local service/ maintenance providers and occasionally customer sites.
- To ensure steps are taken to safeguard own and others' Health and Safety by ensuring safe working practices and operations, in line with appropriate Method Statements and Risk Assessments and utilisation of all PPE provided.
- To ensure health and safety compliance by ensuring the yard and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Promptly report, and where possible, deal with any hazards that arise.
- Ensure maintain clean and tidy working area, including vehicles.
- To adhere to Company Policies and Procedures and uphold Company Core Values, focusing on Customer Care with a professional approach to customers, suppliers and colleagues.
- To protect and secure vehicles, buildings and property by following Company procedures.
- To accommodate any other reasonable tasks that may be allocated to work effectively as part of a team to achieve the business objectives and maximise customer satisfaction, thereby also gaining repeat business wherever possible, maximising utilisation rates and profit levels., 45 Hours per week, 7am to 5pm with one hour for lunch. Monday to Friday.
HGV Class 2 (minimum)and Driver Qualification Card - Accuracy and attention to detail
